we learned how to make the meringue, and also two kinds of fillings. it was fun, and we succeeded! but i'll have to try again before i know if i can make it on my own.
then it was off to furama riverfront for granny's birthday dinner! quite long since i saw the entire maternal family. food wasn't bad, and there's a new addition who is super cuddly! i didn't dare hold him, in case my biological clock and maternal instincts kick in. LOL
tues and wed evenings were spent with gen and the drama girls respectively. only took photos of the food, cause we were all seh. hahaha but it's nice to unwind, and thanks for the treat!!! =)
yesterday was zoo day!! hong had a corporate pass, so 4 of us got in free! walked almost the entire zoo in 5 hours. what a myriad of animals! we only missed the sun bear and elephants, cause we were too lazy to backtrack. haha

but the atmosphere was weird. my parents' generation were pretending it was a good chance to catch up (nothing happened / all's forgotten and forgiven). my nephews and nieces were too unrecognizable for me to even say anything to them. and my generation were all stuck to their seats, too afraid to make the first move, say the wrong thing.
